August 7, 2023 5 Condolences Print Obituary Send Flowers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Evelyn Hofmann, 77, on July 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan, on January 8, 1946, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a kind and loving woman who touched the lives of everyone she met and her passing has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. We will always cherish the memories we have of her and the love she gave us. She had a passion for reading and travel and spent many happy years exploring new places and discovering new books. Carol was known for her kind heart, her infectious laugh, her love of adventure and her chocolate cake. She was predeceased by her father, Wallace, and is survived and deeply missed by her husband Larry, children Terry (and family) and Robin (Bob), grandchildren Laura and Jessica, mother Alice, siblings David, Gordon, Harry (Sherry) and Darlene, friends and other loved ones. A private memorial will be held in her honour. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, or the Edmonton Public Library, where Carol spent many happy hours reading and learning. Her warm and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss 💔

  2. Dear Larry,
Pat & I are sorry to learn of the passing of your dear wife Carol. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.

  3. It saddens me to think what you are going through with the loss of your dear wife. I know Carol was near and dear to you and that you have been together for many years. You will know she is close by when you hear laughter and familiar smells or a sentimental song. These are what help navigate through the days ahead. Let your memories surround you daily and know that your family and friends are there to support you. My mom passed away one year ago on August 20, 2022 and I think of her every day and recall all her quirks and words of wisdom as I say “What would Mom do?” This always seems to ease the sadness and allows me to carry on knowing that she is close by in my heart. My sincere condolences.

  4. So sorry Larry and Robin to hear of the passing of your wife and mother. I always remember your mom happily watching her favorite ringette player. Our prayers go out to you.
    Love Tony and Vinnie

  5. My wife (Dallas) and I send our deepest condolences. We thought Carol was a gentle, kind person and we’re so sorry for your loss.

    Thanks!
    Jim
