Stella Anna Friedel
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stella Anna Friedel at the age of 88 years. Born in Fairview Alberta on May 29, 1936 to Herman and Marjorie Moormann. She was the oldest of 8 children.
She is predeceased her brother Henry Moormann, husband Carl Friedel, daughter Margaret Russell and grandson Clayton Russell. She is survived by her sisters Audrey Gabl, Evelyn Lockhart, Rosemary Drummond, Carol Moormann and Joan Moormann, brother Louis Moormann and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her children, John Backstrom, Virginia Backstrom, Ralph Backstrom, Vivian Backstrom, Jeannette Gardner and Elizabeth (Betty) Backstrom. She leaves 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm, United Church in Ponoka Alberta.
