Kristie Altha Sherback
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kristie Altha Sherback, who transitioned to the next place on August 3, 2024, at 2:00 AM in her home in Edmonton, Alberta.
Kristie is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mia Grenier, of Midland, Ontario; her mother, Margaret Bjornson, of Edmonton, Alberta; her father and stepmother, Curt and Brenda Sherback, of Grande Prairie, Alberta; and her brother, Adam Sherback, of Edmonton, Alberta. She is also survived by numerous cousins, stepbrothers and stepsisters, aunts, and uncles, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Kristie spent her early years in High Level, Alberta, before her family moved between Edmonton, Surrey, BC, and Grande Prairie, AB. She graduated high school in Surrey, where she was lovingly raised by her Aunt Marion and Uncle Todd Sherback.
Throughout her life, Kristie found fulfillment in her work, whether it was in retail, banking management, or as a personal service worker caring for the elderly in care homes. She had a special love for working with seniors, and her kindness and compassion made a difference in the lives of those she cared for.
Kristie will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
On September 15th at 14:00 hrs., a celebration of life will be held at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Such a beautiful soul and woman, Kristie will be missed dearly and forever remembered with love and adoration and the best memories.

I’m so sorry for your loss Margaret and Adam and for the loss to everyone who knew and loved Kristie. I have nothing but fond memories of that sweet girl and I will treasure that big hug I got from her this past winter. When we were kids I remember we would go sledding and the boys would put wax on their sleds to go faster but Kristie and I were a little more cautious! She has a special place in my memories.
Your daughter had the most incredible spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Know that I am here for you if you ever want to talk.
Oh Kristie you were such a beautiful women. Rest in peace my little sunshine. You will be surely missed by all the people you have touched, such a caring and loveable women that would give herself to all her friends expecting nothing in return.
