Andrew Paul York
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew (Andy) York, of Edmonton, Alberta. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 27, 2022, at the age of 84 years.
Andrew (Andy) is survived by his wife Audrey, daughter Michelle (Robin), son Brad (Kelly), sister Nora, brother in-law Grant (Diane), Grandchildren Jody (Tim), Mackenzie (Alyssa), Scott, Matthew (Alicia) and Zachary and Great Grandchildren Kaydence, Mia, Elle and Layla, numerous nieces & nephews and extended family
Andrew (Andy) was a kind and loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone. He worked at many jobs through the year’s almost all of them involving sales.
Andrew (Andy) was passionate about sports. There was not usually a time there wasn’t sports of some kind on the Television. He most enjoyed watching the Edmonton Oilers and the Edmonton Eskimos! He also loved fly fishing, camping, a good card game, family vacations and in his retirement travelling to Florida for the warm winters.
His life was full, he enjoyed his family and all the time spent with them; and in his last years he felt so fortunate to have been blessed with 4 beautiful great granddaughters that were truly his greatest joys!
As per Andrew’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice
Andy was a very special guy and we always had great visits with him and Audrey.
All our love to your family

Dear Audrey, Michelle, Brad and family. Andy came to my mind today as I shared with my husband what terrific neighbors I had while living in Essex House in Edmonton, Audrey and Andy. I googled Andy’s name to find this obituary. I want you all to know what a terrific neighbor and friend Andy was… you too Audrey. I feel my life was blessed to have Audrey and Andy next door. Andy was always welcoming when I dropped by to visit and willing to help… like when I had an oven fire! I hope your family carries on his carrying attitude towards other. The world was a better place for me when Andy lived next door. Blessings to your family, Deb Skaret Backof now living in Florida
Andy was a gentleman and a gentle man. And he always made you smile – his laugh was so infectious. Sorry he’s gone. Best regards Audrey. I now live on Vancouver Island.
