Darlene Elizabeth MacDonald
On January 31, 2025 at 3:40 am, Darlene passed away while peacefully sleeping at the age of 53 years old in the University of Alberta Hospital. She will be missed by many, including a loving Husband of 31 years - Darcy, Children & Grandchildren, Son Tyler (Emma), Daughter - Kayla with spouse Jim (Leah, Emmett, Carter), Son - Duncan, Daughter - Sophie; Father - Fredrick Pritchard with spouse Edith, Brother - Doug with spouse Tammy (Brayden, Jessy, Jonathan), Sister - Donna with spouse Ryan (Trevor, Anna, Abigail, Everett); Mother - Sandra Smith with spouse George, Sister - Melissa with spouse Mike (Payton, Jaxon), Sister - Amanda with spouse Jesse (Lily, Raya, Sage), and many many more family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Darlene will be forthcoming July, 2025, and details shall be provided. In stead of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
-When I arrived, I knelt at her bedside with tears on my face. When the sheet got pulled back, I felt nothing but calm...She looked at peace, like she was sleeping, no pain, no cares, no chaos, no worries. She gave life all she could. I am a better man for her!-
