In Loving Memory of Elaine Patricia Lalonde (Cronk)

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Elaine Patricia Lalonde (Cronk), who peacefully departed this life on June 29, 2024, at approximately 3:30am, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 11, 1952, to the late Harvey and Noreen (Brandow) Cronk on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Elaine's life was a testament to faith, love, and compassion.

Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phillip Lalonde, who passed away on September 1, 2022. She is survived by her cherished brother, Doug Cronk, and his wife Susan Cronk, and their children Matt, Joe, and Mike. She is also survived by her dear sister, Beverly Lalonde (Cronk), and her husband Tim Lalonde, along with their children Joe and Kat Parker (Lalonde). Elaine's move to Edmonton, Alberta, in the early 80s marked a new chapter where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.

Elaine will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life, sustaining her through every challenge. She found great comfort and solace in the compassionate care provided by the healthcare workers, nurses, and doctors at the Edmonton General Hospital, especially those on unit 4A/B. Their dedication and kindness were a source of immense gratitude to Elaine and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your local food bank in Elaine's memory, a testament to her compassion and concern for those less fortunate.

Elaine, you now rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord, reunited with loved ones who have gone before you. Your gentle spirit and loving heart will continue to inspire us all. Until we meet again.
