Eva Heppner
On October 11, 2023, Eva Heppner passed away peacefully at the William J Cadzow Healthcare Centre in Lac La Biche at the age of 93.
Eva was born July 25, 1930 and was one of 11 children. She grew up at Yellow Creek, Saskatchewan. Her early jobs took her from Saskatoon to Vancouver to Jasper Park Lodge where she met and served many of the Hollywood "stars" of the time. Eva was also a very spiritual person who truly enjoyed studying the Scriptures and telling others what she was learning. Through her study of Bible truths, she made the decision to be baptized as a Jehovah Witness in 1948 at the age of 18. Her faith stayed strong for the 75 years that followed. She also loved to write poetry and to send postcards and letters with her expressions. They were always dotted with stickers and sometimes even her dried pressed flowers.
Eva is survived by her husband Alden; her children- John (Anita), Andrew, Michael (Margarita); grandchildren- Merissa, Hunter-Lea, Elden; sisters- Mary, Rose, Anne; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and burial will be at the McRae East Star Cemetery.
Our condolences to the family. We have known her and her family since 1974. Eva was a very spiritual friendly lady.
The Morgensen family Barb, Jacqui and Hugh.
