Genoa Bonn
On the 22 of February 2025 Genoa passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 97 years residing at the Good Samaritan nursing home in Stony Plain, AB. She spent the majority of her life in the Edmonton area having retired from employment with the City of Edmonton at 30 plus years of service. She was born in the Clandonald area and lived her childhood years on the farm.
She is survived by daughter Michale(Bruce), son Garet (Rhonda), grandchildren Mandey, Jenna (Roman),Taeh and great grandchildren Naleigh, Jace and Cora and Special friend Helene.
Genoa was kind, gentle soul, had an infectious smile and easily struck up conversations with strangers. She loved the mountains and had the opportunity to travel in Europe when she was younger.
A special thanks to the Staff of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home for their attentive care of Genoa. There are Angels that walk on this earth, a good number of them work at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

I spent the final hours with her and am thankful for that. She is at peace.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Genoa. I will miss her at the good Sam. She was always so happy. I loved having conversations with her.
