Glenn Donald Luff
On May 19, 2022, Glenn Luff passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at 66, after a short battle with illness. He’s survived by his wife Jane (Zakreski), two daughters, Alexandra (Ryan) and Gillian (Chris), stepdaughter Lindsey (Shaun), grandsons Rockwell and Ellis and sister Marilyn (James). He was born in Ajax, Ontario, graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in journalism and lived for many years in Toronto before moving to Edmonton and adopting the Oilers as his home team. He will be remembered for his wit, creativity, passion for music, love for golf, and an accomplished career in journalism and professional communications. He was a talented guitar player, and his love of blues and jazz drove him to constantly grow. Happily retired for many years, Glenn loved travelling, hosting family dinners, and weekly “fun days” with his grandkids. He was an avid reader, always kept up with world events and loved mornings at the dog park with his loyal dog Izzy. Most of all, to those he loved, he’ll be remembered for being a devoted and loving husband, father, Gramps, friend and all-around fantastic human being. The family will be holding a private celebration of life with close family and friends. Donations in Glenn’s honour can be made to Diabetes Canada.
So sorry to hear of Glenn’s passing. Please accept my late condolences. As someone who played live with Glenn on numerous occasions, I can certainly speak to his passion for music.
