Gregory Gordon Amberson

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of a remarkable man whose life was a testament to resilience and courage. Greg Amberson will be missed by many near and far.

Greg Amberson was born into this world on April 17th 1956, in Whitehorse Yukon to his mother Ferne and father Dave. He is predeceased by his mother, father, and sister Connie. Greg is survived by his sisters Patti, Rhonda and Susan: and his brothers Dwight, Mitch, and Scott.

A devoted father, Greg's love for his children, Dustin Ottenbreit and Jessie Amberson; and grandchildren Dani Ottenbreit and Milan Djurdjevic, knew no bounds. His unwavering support, sage advice, and unconditional love were the cornerstone of their lives, guiding them through both triumphs and trials. His legacy lives on in their hearts, a testament to the profound impact of a father's love.

His humour, generosity, and bold temper brought joy to all who crossed his path, leaving behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. In his professional career as an Ironworker, Greg earned the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him. His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic served as an inspiration to many, leaving an enduring imprint on the lives he touched. A proud member of both Saskatchewan Ironworkers Local 771 and Alberta Ironworkers Local 720, Greg had much to be proud of.

Though Greg may have departed this world, his spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn the loss of a beloved father, grandfather, brother, friend, and colleague, let us also celebrate a life well-lived—a life defined by fun, resilience, and unwavering love.

Rest in peace, dear Greg Amberson. Your light will forever illuminate our lives.
