James “Woody” Roy Pulham
It is with our deepest sadness to announce the passing of beloved father, brother and friend, James Roy Pulham. Throughout his life, James faced many challenges with courage and determination and after a hard fought battle with cancer he passed away peacefully on May 7th in his sleep with family by his side. Throughout it all he showed immense strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
Born on January 5, 1957, in London, Ontario, James was the cherished son of Jean and Don Pulham. From a young age, James was surrounded by love and creativity, nurtured by his parents' values and encouragement. He developed a deep appreciation for music and art and immersed himself in various artistic endeavors, finding joy and solace in expressing himself through creativity. His passion for music and art continued to be a significant part of his life, bringing him comfort and inspiration throughout the years.
James later ventured westward to British Columbia and Alberta, where he forged deep connections with nature and the land. He was no stranger to hard work and he spent many years working in the bush, cultivating a profound respect for the wilderness. In addition to his work in the bush, James had a green thumb and a passion for gardening. He delighted in helping his friends and family with their gardens and homes, sharing his knowledge and expertise with all who knew him.
He is survived by his four children, Ariel (Rob), Tyler, and Willow Pulham, and Murray Ferguson, his brother Steve (Tami) and sister Melissa (Rich), as well as, his much loved granddaughter Brixton as well as his nieces Alyson, Jennifer, Emma and Sabine and his nephew Ben. He is predeceased by his Mother and Father and his sister Lynn. James will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his kind heart, and his zest for life.
James touched the lives of many with his warmth, humour, and generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate James' life and honour his memory.
James will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.
