Laurette Louise Marie St Martin
Laurie St.Martin (Laurette Louise Marie Frigon)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Laurette Louise Marie St. Martin (Frigon) announces her peaceful passing on October 27th, 2022, in Stony Plain, Alberta.
Laurie will be forever remembered by her husband of 51years, Andrew Paul St. Martin, her children, Bettyann (Dave) Peterson, Paul St. Martin Jr, Danny (Bev) St. Martin, Robert(Tiffany) St. Martin, Lorette Ratcliffe, Matt (Tami) St. Martin, and Sister, Janet (Ron) Boos. Laurie will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
Laurie was born on August 26th 1944 in Edmonton, Alberta. She was one of eighteen children of Violetta and Peter Frigon. Laurie first met her husband Paul when they were attending high school. They dated for awhile but ended up going their separate ways. Laurie and Paul reunited in 1969 and the two high school sweethearts were married March 25, 1971.
Laurie’s biggest passion was helping others, whether this being clients she took care of in their homes as a care aid, patients in the extended care unit at Lynwood, to her children, grandchildren, and any extended family that were near. Paul stated Laurie was “born a grandmother” always had a special place in her heart for babies, kids and seniors. She also spent her later working years delivering mail in her local county. Laurie loved having gatherings at their family acreage. Many families and friends have fond memories of potluck suppers, golfing, games, campfire, fireworks; these will be in our hearts forever.
The family is sincerely grateful for the compassionate care and concern given to Laurie by all the dedicated and hardworking doctors and nurses at the Stony Plain Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held on July 1st, 2023 at the family acreage. Service to start at 4pm and potluck dinner to follow at 5:30pm. We invite you to send any photos you may have to rob.stmartin@cnrl.com. Please have the photos emailed by June 1st, 2023. My aunt but in our younger years my sister. We had several adventures, I still smile remembering traveling to the mountain’s camping! Enjoy this next journey. You will be missed. Eternal love. ❤️
Our sincere condolences to Paul and the family.
Laurie and Paul were our neighbours from 1978 to 1987, very influential years for our young family of four, then friends for many years after that.
We have so many years of great memories of Laurie and fully know she will be deeply missed by Paul and the family.
Love and prayers,
Dan and Deb Pelletier
