Marcelle “Bryan” Turner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcelle 'Bryan' Turner on
October 31, 2024 at the age of 82.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Theresa (Terri); his children Scott, Marcel, and Esther, stepchildren Debbie (Arnie), David, and Brad (Bev); and his beloved grandchildren Kyla, Paige, Zoe, Zach, Izaiah, and Jax. He also leaves behind his siblings Dwight, Malcolm, Weldon, Heather, Shane and Darcy, and many other family members and friends.
Bryan was predeceased by his beloved son Michael in 2009. He was also predeceased by his Father Marcel (Mickey) in 1986; his Mother Fran in 2000; Sisters Beryl De Leon (Bryan's twin) in 2000, Marlowe O'Shea in 2013, Patricia Atfield in 2013, Rhonda (Shelly) in 2021; and his Brother Barry (2022).
Bryan joined the Navy at the age of 18 and served for several years. After his service, he worked at CN Rail until his retirement in 1990. Later, Bryan enjoyed driving for Yellow Cab until 2019. He was an avid reader and a dedicated cribbage player who loved sharing stories from his Navy days. Bryan was also a true animal lover and shared a special bond with his loyal dog and companion, Maggie.
Above all, Bryan was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was dearly loved and has left us all with many wonderful memories. May he rest in peace and remain forever in our hearts.
In honoring Bryan's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Instead, please take a moment to remember a special time you shared with Bryan, as that would make him happiest!
The family extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff on Unit 4A at the University of Alberta Hospital for their compassionate care in Bryan's final months.
