With deep love and fond memories, we announce the passing of Eileen “Babe” Worobec at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre on March 20/26 at the age of 94.
She will be forever missed by her children: Judy (John) Davio, Bob (Susan) Worobec, Rick (Sandy) Worobec, her 7 grandchildren: Amie Davio, Warren (Meisha) Davio, Dustin (Kristen) Worobec, Ronald (Amanda) Worobec, Reegan (Jessie) Worobec, Craig (Daini) Worobec, Garth Worobec: her 10 great-grandchildren: Roman, Stella, Konnor, Winston, Marcus, Alexis, Elliott, Tristan, Isabelle and Sullivan. Her loss is also felt by numerous extended family and friends. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Ron and sons Gerry and Wayne.
Babe had an abiding faith in God and an unending devotion to her family.
Mom was blessed with many wonderful memories of her life which she generously shared to the delight of family and friends. She was our family historian with an amazing recall that could transport us back to our childhoods, and hers. She also enjoyed music, singing and dancing. We loved watching Mom and Dad moving smoothly across a dance floor. She was an avid Blue Jays and Oilers fan, rarely missing a game. Many times, Mom stayed up too late, caught up in her latest mystery novel.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Agunwa and the staff of the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre and Spruce View Lodge for their care and kindness to our mother.
Respecting her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made in Babe’s memory to the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre or to the Spruce View Lodge.
We am so sorry for your loss, to every one of you. Auntie Babe was a great woman, she was strong willed and spoke her mind. We will forever remember her laugh, which is a wonderful legacy to leave people. If you need anything we are here for you. Love you all
