It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger William Lennie, peacefully on August 4, 2026, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Roger was born on April 1, 1936, to Dora and Colin Lennie. He was the oldest of seven, including sisters Linda (Ronny) and Dora-Jean (Jim). He was predeceased by his brothers Tommy, Brian, and Douglas, his sister Corrine, and his granddaughter Vanessa McCormick.

Grandpa has left a legacy of kindness, making friends with travellers and nomads, that lives on in his great-grandchildren, Declan & Connor McCullough and Sophia McCormick. He is also survived by his oldest daughter, Maureen Martin, who supported him through his stubborn adjustment to seniorhood, and his acting support system, including his dearest friend Verena Fahhrni, among others. His other surviving children are Richard, Carol, Graeme, and Lucille, along with cherished grandchildren Amanda Martin (Patrick), Kellie McCullough (William), Natasha Lennie, and Caitlyn McCormick.

Roger was a quiet and reserved man, dedicated to his family and friends, and a Canadian Veteran who served with the Air Force from 1956 to 1964. As well as a self-described historian and patriarch of the Lennie clan.

Roger’s family would also like to express their gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and healthcare staff who cared for him at the end of his journey.

Roger Lennie will be deeply missed, but he expressed that he was at peace and wished for everyone to celebrate his life and the legacy he hoped to leave behind. The celebration of life will take place at the Kingsway Legion Branch on September 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. ”

Thank you so much for your kindness during this process; our family truly appreciates it.
