It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Kelvin Mackay, who passed away peacefully on October 19th, with his two daughters by his side.

Kelvin was a loving father, a devoted friend, and an incredible hockey coach whose passion for the game—and for the people in his life—touched everyone who knew him. He approached everything he did with pride, dedication, and an open heart, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to those he loved. His kindness, humor, and unwavering strength will forever be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.

He leaves behind his daughters Karla Mackay (Jason) and Larissa Bowers (Rob), who will carry his love and lessons with them always, as well as his cherished grandsons Jackson and Bennett, who brought him so much joy. Kelvin is also survived by his sisters Linda Riske and Carrie Bearss, along with his nieces and nephews.

No funeral service will be held, but Kelvin will be laid to rest alongside his mother in Regina next summer, where he will finally be at peace.
His legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandsons, the memories shared by those he worked with, coached, and befriended, and the deep love of his family who will miss him dearly.

Thank you so much to the amazing staff on the Blue Jay unit at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital that took great care of our father during the 2 months he was there.

Dad, you will be forever loved and forever remembered.
