Arthur Jones passed away tragically at his home on January 14, 2026, at the age of 66.
He was born on April 17, 1959, in Edmonton, Alberta, to Helen Jones and Arthur Jones. Arthur was the second of three siblings and grew up surrounded by family, learning early the values of hard work and perseverance that would define his life.
After graduating from high school, Arthur worked a variety of jobs, never afraid to learn something new. He spent time as a hotel manager before moving into his long-term career in construction as a scaffolder. Through his work, Arthur helped build countless homes and large high-rise buildings—structures that stand as a lasting testament to his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Arthur was a man of many talents and hands-on abilities. He always needed to be busy, even on his days off, finding purpose in fixing, building, and staying productive. He took pride in his work and in being someone others could rely on.
Above all else, Arthur was an incredible father. Being a dad was his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment in life. He showed his love through his presence, his guidance, and his unwavering support, always putting his daughter first and teaching her the value of hard work, resilience, and integrity.
Arthur will be deeply missed by his daughter, Madison Gilders-McCoy; his mother, Helen Jones; his sister, Arlene Ross; his brother, Trevor; and by many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Arthur will be remembered not only for his tireless work ethic and practical skills, but most importantly for the love he had for his daughter and the devoted father he was.
