It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darryn Paul Kelly, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 8, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 62.
Born on July 22, 1964, Darryn was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. Although life took him and his family in different directions over the years, he remained a part of their story, and the memories and moments shared throughout his life will remain with those he leaves behind.
Darryn is survived by his daughters, Shiane Lessard and Shaina Lessard (Ronnie); his grandsons, Benjerman, Bronson and Myles; and his daughter, Jessica Thompson (Justin), and their children.
He is also survived by his siblings, Janet Quinn (Bob), Shaun Kelly and Jeff Kelly (Alice), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Darryn was predeceased by his parents, William and Donnah Kelly, and his sister, Debbie Zimmer.
Darryn has been cremated and will be brought home to his daughters, Shiane and Shaina, in Ontario, where he will remain close to family.
Although many years may pass and circumstances may change, family connections and the memories left behind remain. Darryn’s family will carry those memories with them as they say goodbye.
