With deep sadness, the family of Graham Lawrence announces his passing on September 10, 2026. Born
on June 30, 1943, Graham lived a life shaped by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to
the animals and people he loved.
Graham was a lifelong farmer whose happiest moments were spent on his land, tending to the animals
he cherished. He bred, raised, and raced thoroughbred racehorses, a pursuit that brought him
immense pride and purpose. Fridays at the racetrack became a treasured tradition-hours spent with
family, watching the horses run, sharing laughter, and celebrating the sport he adored.
Known for his sharp wit, sarcasm, and extraordinary horsemanship. Graham had a gift for making
people feel welcome and at ease. His presence brought comfort, his stories brought laughter, and
his skills with horses earned admiration from all who knew him.
Graham, predeceased by his sister Sharon, leaves behind his long-time partner Bob; siblings Janis,
Robert, and Heather; and nieces and nephews Stacey, Cindy, Kimberly, Jason, Adam, and Kate. He also
leaves behind his beloved stakes mare “This Cat Can,” a testament to his lifelong dedication to the
animals, especially the horses he loved.
