In Loving Memory of Agnes St Jean
Born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
Passed away peacefully, reuniting with her loving husband Jerome St Jean.

Agnes St Jean was a woman of remarkable strength, compassion, and creativity. Born in Yellowknife, NWT, she was a survivor of the residential school system—a testament to her resilience and courage. Her journey led her to Fort Smith, where she met the love of her life. They married in Edmonton and raised their three sons—Trevor, Dion, and Kelly—in Hay River, NWT.

Agnes dedicated over two decades of service to her community, working at H.H. Williams Memorial Hospital from 1979 to 2000. She pursued her passion for helping others by majoring in Recreation Therapy at Mount Royal College, enriching the lives of many through her work.

Upon retirement, Agnes and her husband fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing an acreage outside of Edmonton. Though they eventually had to part with it due to illness, the memories they created there remain cherished.

Agnes found joy in the simple and beautiful things—crocheting, sewing, and painting were her favorite pastimes, reflecting her artistic soul.

She leaves behind a heartfelt message to her family:

“Do not weep for our mom, she believes you will see her in your dreams or sense her presence.
To Trevor, Dion, Kelly, Desmond, Meranda, Shaylynn, Dylon, Brayden, Raquel, Sydney, Kirsten, Shantel, Lacey, and Kenneth:
Believe in yourself to be strong. Strong enough to reach your dreams.
Dreams to remember for life. For home is not a house. It is memories of love with friends and family.”
