It’s with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Beulah Marina Coles of Sandy Cove Newfoundland on September 22, 2026.
Born on December 1, 1941 in Sandy Cove Newfoundland, the daughter of Raymond and Clarissa White.
Beulah lived all her life in Newfoundland where she met her beloved husband, Stedman Coles. Together they built two homes where they raised six amazing children, five girls and one boy. At one time they were the biggest family in Sandy Cove. Beulah was a hard-working woman, starting work as young as 9. Beginning with chores in the family home, learning how to garden, bake bread and cook meals for her parents and siblings; then moving on into the community and church with various jobs, in the fish plant and finally retiring at Coles Variety at the age of 60.
Beulah had married at the age of 20
and had a wonderful marriage of 50 years.
Beulahs faith was very important to her, she was a woman of god and never forgot her prayers day and night. She was also an active supporter and member of St. Thomas Anglican Church in her community.
Beulah was blessed to see all six of her children married and have youngsters of their own. She was lucky enough to see three of her grandchildren married, as well as see some of them have their own babies. All together she had 15 grand/great grandchildren.
Beulah loved playing cards like 500s, queens and her fair share of skip-bo.
Other hobbies she enjoyed were darts, knitting, making quilts and watching hockey. She could be seen and heard cheering on all of her grandbabies in the stands or on TV. Beulah could also be caught constantly hiding her eyes and yelling at those Oilers.
Although she wanted them to win, she never wanted to see anyone lose, and most of the time would try to go to bed before the games ended.

Beulah spent her last year’s living in Alberta with her oldest granddaughter Dara and her family (don’t forget about the family dog Knox); on an acreage in the beautiful country away from the hustle and bustle. She passed away peacefully at home in her bed in the early hours of September 22nd.
Beulah was loved tremendously by her family and everyone she met. Her family was the whole world to her. She was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, nanny and friend. She was a warrior, a survivor and a pillar of strength and beauty. There will never be anyone quite like her.
Beulah was survived by her six children;
Wanda (Merlin), Cheryl(Lloyd), Brenda(Terry(deceased), Denise(Gordon), Sybil(Glenn) and Stedman.
Her grandchildren; Dara(Andy), Britta, Nakita(Chris), Dillon(Lindsay) Jasmine, Patrick(Bryn), Tyra, Duncan(Hayley) and Zoey. Her great grandchildren; Hartley, Huxley, Lenyxx, Terry Bre, and Harleigh. Her sisters; Yvonne(Ross deceased) and Mary, Irene(Claude deceased).
She was pre-deceased in death by her parents; Raymond and Clarissa White, her husband Stedman Coles, her sister Sybil Porter, her three brothers Ralph White, Sterling White and Stewart White, and her grand-daughter Chloe Mcdonald.
The family would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. Aluko and Dr. Fairchild from the Cross Cancer Institute. The amazing staff for medical care and support from Onoway home care, and value cremations for the most respectful and gracious help of the passing of our loved one.
Thank God and please God keep our angel safe and peaceful.

We will be bringing her back to Newfoundland to be laid to rest at a later date. At that time we will also hold a memorial service and burial for her.
