It is with love and sadness that I share the passing of Elaine M Dewindt who passed away peacefully on Nov 18, 2025 after a very short battle with cancer.
Elaine was born in Edmonton Alberta and was married to John for 65 years. She was devoted to her family. She was strong, independent, full of life and quick witted.
Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Dewindt, her children, Darlene Dewindt, Karen (David) Casavant’s, Derrick (Sheila) Dewindt & her grandchildren David, Sean, Colby & Brody.
Mom you are missed by us all but we will continue to love you now and forever.

Elaine was a huge part of our lives in growing up. Watching her great skills to Pedipoint many fantastic pictures like “Pinky and Blue Boy”, she had a great talent!
Our family spent much time in Langley B.C with the Dewindt family when they lived there, and then when they moved to Calahoo to run their store I will never forget the time they taught me how to give change back to customers helping me with my math skills. Once they moved to Edmonton she helped our family in serving customers with such kindness in our family jewellery store for years.
She will be greatly missed.
