In Loving Memory of Glendalyn “Lynn” Jones

January 3, 1958 – July 10, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glendalyn “Lynn” Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, family member, and friend.

Known simply as Lynn to most who loved her, she was truly one of a kind. In her younger years, she worked as a model, and a bit of that model never left her. She loved fashion and had a style all of her own. She wasn’t afraid to stand out and always expressed herself in her own unique way.

Lynn loved being barefoot and was rarely seen wearing shoes if she could help it. Even years after her modeling days, she would instinctively point her toes. A little habit that became her signature trademark and one of the many things her family will always remember with a smile.

If you were blessed enough to sit at her table, you knew you were in for something special. Anything she made from scratch was absolutely delicious, and feeding the people she loved was one of the ways she truly showed she cared. She could feed an army with her eyes closed.

Lynn is lovingly remembered by her four children: Christopher, Jonathan, Sarah, and Mathew Hawkins; Lynn’s brother & sister, Terry & Debbie, and late brother Stanley Ozarow and late parents Randell & Marion Jones; extended family, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Though her life was not without its struggles, those who knew Lynn will remember her for the little things that made her uniquely herself. Lynn had a gift in the kitchen. Anything she made from scratch was absolutely delicious. Whether it was borscht, cabbage rolls, perogies, baking, or a simple family meal, she poured love into her cooking. Feeding the people she cared about was one of the ways she showed her love.

Like many, Lynn’s life was not without struggles. She faced hardships that shaped much of her journey, yet those who loved her also knew her kindness, her creativity, her sense of style, and the love she carried for her family always.

In the final chapter of her life, Lynn sought God. She attended church, invited others to come with her, and wanted people to know Jesus. While in the hospital, she rededicated her life to Him. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family, and we find comfort in knowing she is now free from pain, restored, and at peace.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the memories she gave us the meals she lovingly prepared, her unmistakable style, her beautiful smile, and the little things that made her uniquely Lynn. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
