Paul Johnston
In loving memory of James Paul Johnston (Paul) who passed away early morning on November 21, 2025. He is predeceased by his 2nd wife Gina and leaves behind his three sons Stefan, Brian and Nathan and his first wife Grace.
Paul was a retired professor of political science from the University of Alberta where he taught for over 30 years. He inspired countless students with his passion for governance and civic engagement and had many good friends at the University. Paul spent the last six years of his life under the care of the wonderful staff at the Zetter Center in south Edmonton.
Above all, Paul cherished gatherings with his three sons, who brought him immense joy and pride. He leaves behind a legacy of love, learning and the importance of staying curious.
