Ronald Rix passed away in his sleep on April 24, 2026 at Holyrood Extended Care in Edmonton. Ron was a member of the Operating Engineers. Ron was an avid racing car enthusiast, building his own drag racing car in his younger years. Ron was a long time resident of the Edmonton area, going to school in Devon and Edmonton.
Ron is pre-deceased by his parents: Gordon and Virginia, his siblings: Brian and Marion, his first wife Judy, his son Austin. Ron is survived by his siblings, Elaine and Neil, his wife Sharon, his children: Jason, Trina, Kyle, Chris, Malika and Jordon. and grandchildren Logan, Mackenzie and others.
Reception and internment will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Sherwood Park at 11 AM, May 23, 2026. (52356 Range Road 232) Flowers can be sent to Glenwood Funeral Home.
