Tracey Anne Broadfoot, born June 20, 1966, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 5, 2025. Tracey was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Gladys, and by her brothers, Robert and Kevin. She leaves behind her life partner of 38 years, Larry Kohlruss, and her children, Tabitha, Ashley, Steven, Angela, and her extended family, including Henry, Crystal, and Kitira.
Tracey was diagnosed with non-alcoholic related Liver disease, and on September 4, 2023, she was rushed in for an emergency Liver Transplant. For the next almost 2 years, it was one complication after another, and finally succumbed to an uncontrolable internal infection. She was made comfortable and passed away in her sleep, in the company of her daughter Tabitha.
We would like to express our greatest appreciation and thanks for their valiant efforts to all the amazing staff at the University of Alberta Hospital, and to Dr. Conoly (Medical Director of the Calgary Liver Unit ).
Celebrations of life will be announced at a later date for both Campbell River and Edmonton.

I am so trashed! Tracey, was my best friend and confadont for many years. She was always there for me..no matter what. She loved her family! Sometimes didn’t know how how to let them know but it was there. She hurt deeply from things from the past. Secrets! Well, all I can say is, I loved her as one of the best friends of my entire life A good provider for her family, (totally taken for granted). But they never knew! Rest easy my friend.

  • Anita Harvie says:

My heart goes out to Tracey’s family & friends. Tracey always had a smile on her face & back in 2004 when I moved to Port Hardy, I loved her outgoing, positive personality when she worked at the API and later took over my husband’s job with the funeral home, due to his terminal illness. I have missed Tracey and Tabatha for many years but will always hold them close to my heart.

  • Julie Parker says:

My deepest condolences and prayers to the entire family of Tracey. I had known Tracey since we were 5 and throughout those early school years. We attended each other’s birthday parties and had sleepovers when we were little, skipped out of school a time or two (though she was a far better student than I!) in our early teens, and I had the joy of reconnecting with Tracey in Alberta later into the 2000’s and then again just a few years back. I remember her warmly and with joy as we laughed and laughed often. I remember how she loved her precious little childhood dog Pickles, her compassion and kindness, her hilarious sense of humour, her creativity, and her profound love of water – and later as the years passed and we grew up, her deep love for her family who she spoke of so much when we would have a chance to talk. She is wandering the shores now elsewhere, feeling the soft sand beneath her feet and the warm water sparkling with diamonds from the sunlight lapping over her feet. She was a cherished friend and I can never convey how deeply sorry I am for your loss. She was an magnificent woman and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to know her. Much love to you all and my prayers for you during this difficult time.
