Alan Gordon Hughes
Our family is deeply saddened as we mourn the loss of our Captain. Al is survived by his wife Irene, two sons, Brian (Pauline), grandchildren, Cameron, Ryan, Liam, Ethan; and Kevin (Tori), grandchildren. Ashlyn, Quinn, Austin. Stepdaughter, Melanie (Vic), step grandchildren, Lienne. Caelen and Graysen. Al was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and lived most of his adult life in Lloydminster, Saskatoon and Fort St. John, as well as Pigeon Lake, and more recently in Spruce Grove. Al was predeceased by his first wife Norma in 1998, as well as his parents and his brother. We would like to acknowledge and thank the nursing staff and doctors on 5F at the University Hospital for their care and compassion towards Al during his stay. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Moravian Church Rio Terrace, 15108 - 76 Avenue NW, Edmonton, and will also be available online via zoom at rioterracechurch.org/live.
