June 29, 1955 - January 30, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Dwayne Prochinsky on January 30, 2022, at the age of 66.

Dwayne is survived by his loving wife Nicola, son Taylor McKenzie, mother Mary Procinsky, sister Darlene Fedun (Ed),  sister in-law Verena Millard (Alan), father in-law Cameron Millard, niece Tina Fedun, nephews Aidan Moody and Mason Millard.  Predeceased by his father William J. Procinsky and mother in-law Connie Davis.

He also leaves behind his brother from another Mother Murray (Murdawg) Killeen, his VPMC brothers and sisters, many friends and extended family from across Canada, USA and New Zealand and his beloved animals Sassy, Bella, and Max.

Following a private cremation, a celebration of life will be held at the Kingsway Legion Branch #175, 14339 – 50 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday February 12, 2022, at 2pm. Please note, due to COVID requirements, proof of vaccination will be required, and numbers are limited to 200 persons. We will make every effort to live stream the formal part of the gathering. Details to follow.  In addition, a memorial ride for Dwayne will be planned for Summer 2022.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff at JB’s Power Centre for their prompt response to the original medical event. The EMS staff who responded, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Royal Alexander Hospital and Robins Pavillion for the compassionate care Dwayne received.

Donations in memory of Dwayne can be made to The Kids with Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.

    my heart breaks for Dwayne beautiful soul gone too soon. Dwayne, you will be missed by so many. I’ll always cherish the chats about riding my big bike. You will be the VPMC guardian angel and look over all of us. Until we all ride again together. 🙏❤️🙏😢
