Olga was born and raised on a farm just outside of Edson, Alberta on November 3, 1934. She was the youngest of 3 children born to Philip and Marie Sembal.
Olga died peacefully with her loved ones by her side on January 28 at her home in St. Albert, Alberta. She is predeceased by her husband Clarence, brother Bill and sister Elise.
At an early age Olga’s interest in the Bible was sparked when Jehovah’s Witnesses from the detention camps in Jasper were allowed out on the weekends and would come and stay in the family barn. After graduating from the Red Brick school house in Edson, Olga moved to Calgary where she was called on in the door to door ministry and a Bible study was started. In 1953 Olga traveled to New York by train to the New World Society Assembly and was baptized along with 4640 others as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In 1957 Olga married Clarence Frank on April 20th and a year later they welcomed their first of three sons and their daughter. She will be dearly missed by her children Darcy (Jacinthe), Keith (Linda), Gordon (Berna) and her devoted daughter Cheryl, along with her six grandchildren, Amanda (Zac), Andrew, Danielle (Jason), Alison (Ben), Justin (Haley), Michelle (Thomas). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Olga loved traveling with her daughter and trying new things. She took it upon herself to learn to do Moose Tufting, China painting, sewing, skiing and she enjoyed baking. Especially chiffon cakes, butter horns and cookies.
Olga looked forward to the time when Jehovah God will “wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away” – Revelation 21:3,4
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your expression of love, kind words and support at this very difficult time.
