It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Glena on October 8, 2026, in Edmonton, at the age of 73, surrounded by her family.
Patricia was born on July 13, 1953, in Dauphin, Manitoba. She spent most of her working life in banking and bookkeeping, where her care and dependability were valued by everyone she worked with.
Patricia had a rare gift for connection. She met people with genuine warmth and interest, and they never forgot it. She loved good food, good wine, and good company, and her quick, witty sense of humour could light up any table. Over the years she built a wide circle of friends who loved her dearly, and she made everyone around her feel seen.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Aaron (Allyson) and Amy (Kevin); her sister, Diana; and her grandchildren, Lily and Madi.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held in the summer of 2027, close to her birthday. Details will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer North America in her memory.
