Pearl Lapointe passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at the age of 83. Born in Summerford, Newfoundland, Pearl was a cherished daughter of Fred and Rita Wheeler and sister to her nine brothers and sisters.
Pearl’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured her children Yvette (Norm), Gail (Dave), Gilles, and Lina (Dale); her grandchildren Natalie, Jocelyn (Ashley),
Chris (Rayanna), Josh (Brittany), Bode, McKinley, Evan, and Lylah; and her great-grandchildren Cheyenne, Makayla, Jordan, Summer, Jace, Jake, Palmer, and Mercer, and many nieces and nephews. She was a guiding light and source of love for all, and her family was at the heart of her life.
Pearl was predeceased by her loving husband Gustave Lapointe, her parents Fred and Rita Wheeler, five siblings, and a nephew.
She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Rd, Edmonton, Alberta where they will be together forever.
Though Pearl is no longer with us, her legacy of love, warmth, and family devotion will forever live on through those she touched. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and all who knew her!
