It is with heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Robert Daniel Swischook has passed away surrounded by his loving wife, Rhonda, son Daniel, daughter Amanda, son in law Brian, mother-in-law Darlene and brother-in-law Greg and family.
Born in Barrie, Ontario to Donald and Carol Swischook; from an early age Robert was known for his kind spirit, great sense of humor, and deep love for family.
In 1991, Robert and Rhonda married together and created a beautiful family home with their two children in Edmonton, Alberta. Robert loved to video game and had a great interest in creation and inventions with a talent for being a chef. He had a gift for making everyone feel special and valued.
Robert’s greatest joy was being a father and husband, he gave his love freely, unconditionally and without hesitation, his selflessness, unwavering devotion and endless support shaped the lives of this children Daniel and Amanda.
During a time of need for Robert, daughter Amanda had come to the aid for her dad and provided her kidney in a high-risk kidney transplant operation, gifting Robert with 6 more years of longevity as a loving father and husband. We are forever grateful to Amanda for her sacrifice.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Rhonda and his children Daniel, Amanda, son in law Brian and mother-in-law Darlene.
Robert was predeceased by his father Donald Swischook passing in 2015 and his living parent and mother Carol Swischook; Siblings; Donny, sister-in-law Pam, nephews Jeffrey and Thomas Swischook, Ronald, sister-in-law Sharon Swischook, Dwayne, nephews Zack, Ethan and niece Jenae Swischook.
A private “Celebration of Life” will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 to be held at “Spirit West Untied Church, 7003 199 St. Edmonton, Alberta between 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. for a Family Gathering and Lunch.
