Stan Wayne Miller
1953–2025
Stan Wayne Miller passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 72, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Born in New Westminster, BC, Stan spent most of his life in St. Albert, the place he proudly called home.
Stan was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cathy Dunham. He is survived by his brothers Larry, Tim, Gordon, Dan, and David; his sisters Joan and Jeanne; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and grand-siblings who will miss him dearly.
In life, this “cool cat” embraced simplicity and appreciated the quiet moments. He found joy in the open road, especially while riding his Goldwing—his favorite way to experience freedom and peace.
Stan lived modestly and touched all who knew him. May he now rest in peace.
Stan was truly one of a kind and the best hugger ever!
One of the best road trip was with he and Cathy and several other of his friends. We were not on a motorcycle but were included and I must say the trip back was a blazing snow storm over the mountains, we were terrified we would loose them with the snow and wind and no barricades to prevent them from slipping off the road and down the mountain.
The only good thing I can say about his passing, is that he and Cathy are now back together where they belong.
Miss them both!
